Monotype Prints

A monotype print is an impression on paper transferred or pulled from an inked or painted rigid flat plate. A monotype print can be multiple colors but is not repeatable as it allows only one pull of the image elements, sometimes followed by a ghost print which is a print from the paint that remains on the plate after the first print impression.

"Diversions" For brief times in my studio, I separated myself from the interruptions of an ever growing, media saturated, turbulent and oftentimes negative reporting of the world. These prints are visual meditations, utilizing paper, paint and a printing block, to a positive destination attainable with a peaceful mind and being totally in the present.
